Still at work on crafts

Crafts for the book still continue. There will probably be 8 or 9 altogether. You'll remember in the last post that I only make crafts that are easy to do since I'm craft-challenged, and they have to use readily available supplies and be either cute or useful.

When I started these CD and foam animals, I was planning to use them for coasters, but they needed decorations and buggy eyes and such to be cute, so using them for coasters was out. So they became door hangers for a different chapter--on about sleep.

You wouldn't be able to prove Adam isn't biologically related with the shared peanut butter addiction around here. I found a recipe in an old manuscript that never got used, so of course we had to make it : ) (But it's not going in this book because it doesn't fit anywhere.) Adam took time out to make these:
Unbaked Peanut Butter Cookies
You will need:
1 cup sugar
1 cup light colored corn syrup
2 cups peanut butter
4 cups rice krispies
Waxed paper
To do:
Combine the sugar and syrup in a pan.
Heat on a burner.
Boil for one minute stirring constantly.
Add the peanut butter, stirring constantly.
After the peanut butter is blended in, add the cereal and stir.
Remove from the heat and let sit for a minute.
Scoop out a spoonful of the mixture at a time and drop onto the waxed paper.Let cool, then eat!
