If you know me, you know crafts and things like that are NOT my strong point. So Jessica, Jasmine, Adam and I sat down to create and test some crafts for the book that we thought would be fun for girls. If we can do them, any body can do them! Believe me! I am craft challenged, so I plan easy to make crafts that use simple supplies and are useful either for myself or for gifts.
This pen holder craft would make a good teacher gift, best friend gift or Mother's Day gift. Everything you need is at Walmart or the dollar store.
Jessica is putting the finishing touches on a decorative pillow that is easy to make using a towel. These can be made in different colors to match or bedroom or give a friend.
We designed fun door hangers. Everyone's was different.
The girls each made one of these bags, plus one for Kayla who wasn't home from Haiti yet. This is Kayla's bag in the picture. She has carried her Bible and notebook to church in it for the past four years, and it still looks good!
This is Jasmine's church bag which she still carries every Sunday even though she's now in middle school!
I think this is a really fun book for girls, so if you have an 8-12-year-old girl in your life, look for the book at your local Christian bookstore or order online here. If you've already read it, please leave a review here and on any other online bookstore you are familiar with. Reviews really do help sell books.
If you give the book as a gift, consider giving the craft supplies as part of the gift also.
This is a book that will keep your girls busy during all the snow days and the upcoming spring break.
