More Kid Friendly Turkeys

Last post I showed turkeys made from cupcakes that the kids had made.

You can go back a post to see how they made these.

We have been working on a second kind that uses sandwich cookies and Nutter Butter cookies.
Kaleb mixed up some batter for us.

The first day only Ty, Kaleb and I worked on the turkeys.

We used off brand sandwich cookies.

We had to add extra frosting between the two cookies.

To make these, we cut out a piece of cupcake to insert the Nutter Butter and another one for the sandwich cookie. If you try to push them down without doing that, the cupcake splits into pieces. We opened the sandwich cookie and added frosting from a tube and then inserted the candy corn. The extra frosting served as "glue."

We made the face by using black frosting meant for writing to make the eyes and a dab of frosting dyed yellow for the nose. The waddle is made from a fruit roll up.

Since not everyone made one, we did them again on Sunday. Jessica was over.

Everyone's turkey is a little different from the others.

We had left over cupcakes, cookies and candy, so we let people experiment. Below are some of the creations.

The twins made crackle jars to take to their teachers, and I'll show those next time.
