14 Days of Kindness Kick Off: Taco Soup

We kicked off our 14 days of kindness with recognizing the cafeteria workers.

I am good friends with one of the ladies at Kaleb's school, so I arranged to send in taco soup for her crew. We also sent taco soup in with Rick for his coworkers.

We sent sour cream, shredded cheese and tostitos chips with it.
Here is the recipe for the taco soup. It's easy and not much can go wrong unless you scorch the pan or something.

Taco Soup
15 oz can of black beans drained
2  16 oz cans of kidney beans drained
29 oz can of corn drained
46 oz can Tomato juice
29 oz can Tomato sauce
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 lb browned ground beef

Combine in crock pot and cook at least one hour or simmer stovetop
Serve with Tostitos, sour cream, shredded cheese

We made trail mix for Jasmine to take to her cafeteria workers.
These were our original ingredients, but it looked too plain. Everything was similar in size.

This looked boring.
So we added pretzels.
Much better

The kids also made cards to go with the treats they took.
He doesn't look happy because he was not paying attention and was slopping his card together and making a mess. I told him to watch Jasmine. Homemade cards and gifts are nice--if they are a child's best work. Teachers, friends and others deserve our best.
