- gets a hole in it
- tears out in the rear
- gets stained or bleached
- is outgrown
- just doesn't look right on you?
We have jeans with all those issues. The ones in good shape went to Goodwill. Some of the others became part of an easy travel pillow.
Because I'm not in to real sewing projects, we cheated a lot.
We cut off the a jeans leg, cut it open and laid it flat like a piece of material.
Then we pinned a dollar store microfiber towel to the pants, good sides touching each other. You could use a dish towel or hand towel too.
Next we cut around the towel.
Then we sewed around the edges leaving a hole to stuff the pillow.
We turned the pillow right side out, and filled with polyfill.
We sewed the opening shut.
And now we have easy to use travel pillows. They can be washed, and if they end up lost or destroyed, it won't really matter because we didn't invest much money in them.
